Hello!

I am an Assistant Professor at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. Previously, I was an Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE) and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Economic Analysis (IAE-CSIC). I received my Ph.D. from the Institute of Economics and Econometrics at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, in September 2023.

I have been a short term visiting scholar at Stanford GSB, UCLA Anderson, UBocconi, UC Berkeley, New York University.

My research received the European Economic Association Young Economist Award 2023.

I am a Political Economist broadly interested in institutions, both formal (e.g., democracy and institutional trust) and informal (e.g., organized crime, stigma, and taboo). In my research, I complement applied methods with theory and survey experiments. Find out more about my research here.
